The shoe size chart may vary between different manufacturers, so we recommend focusing not only on your usual size, but primarily on the length of your foot. Use the chart below to determine your sock size as accurately as possible.
If measuring your foot is not possible, you can refer to the insole length, but please note that this method is less precise.
How to measure your foot length correctly
- Place a sheet of paper on the floor.
- Place your bare foot on the paper.
- Trace your foot with a pencil/pen at a right angle to the floor.
- Repeat with the other foot.
- Measure both feet in millimeters from the center of the heel to the tip of the longest toe.
- Use the measurement of the longer foot to choose the size.

Do not take measurements in the morning, when your foot is relaxed, because the measurement won't be accurate. You’ll get the most accurate result in the afternoon or evening, after a few hours of activity.

If your result falls between two sizes, choose the smaller one, provided that your foot has a standard instep and average or below-average width.
Socks from the ExtraCotton® Collection stretch well in length. So if your foot has a standard instep and a small/medium width, we recommend choosing a smaller size range, namely:
- for size 40 – size S (36–39)
- for size 44 – size M (40–43)
