PROTECTOR® products are designed to perform under demanding conditions. Proper care helps preserve their functional properties even with intensive use. Follow these simple guidelines to keep your gear in peak shape, maintaining its elasticity, structure, and performance for as long as possible.
Gentle wash
We recommend washing on a delicate cycle at a maximum of 30°C. High temperatures cause the material to shrink and lose its shape and elasticity. For compression gear, this is particularly critical, as the elasticity of the knit directly affects the level of compression.
Do not bleach
Do not use bleach or any chlorine-based cleaning agents. They damage the fibers and cause colour loss, and residue left in the fabric may irritate the skin. We recommend using a mild detergent suitable for coloured fabrics.
Do not dry clean
PROTECTOR® products are not suitable for dry cleaning. Chemical solvents break down the fiber structure and may cause irreversible damage to the material. For safe cleaning, follow the gentle wash guidelines above.
Do not wring
After hand washing, avoid wringing the items, as this may cause deformation and loss of shape. Gently press out the excess water, then carefully reshape each item by hand to help preserve its original form.
Spinning and drying
Machine spinning and tumble drying are permitted on low-temperature settings only. If a dryer is not available, lay the items flat on an even surface and leave them to dry at room temperature in the shade, away from direct sunlight.
Do not iron
PROTECTOR® products must not be ironed. The heat of an iron will irreversibly damage the fiber structure, cause deformation, and result in loss of elasticity. To give the products a neat appearance, simply smooth them out by hand once they are completely dry.
Why this matters
Proper care requires very little effort but significantly extends the life of your gear. Following these guidelines helps PROTECTOR® products retain their shape, elasticity, appearance, and comfort throughout their service life.
Following these care instructions is a mandatory requirement for maintaining the quality guarantee that applies to every pair purchased.
